This afternoon the UMBC Retrievers made university history by soundly defeating Hartford 82-65 in the America East Conference championship game. Held for the first time on our home turf in a sold-out RAC, the win has given us our first-ever ticket to the NCAA Tournament. Notably absent from this tournament are the College Park Terrapins, giving us a unique opportunity to represent our state while thumbing our noses at our local rivals.
